Meet Ryan Poole

The man behind The Hideout — Nashville's creative sanctuary on Music Row where great music still happens.

The Journey

From San Diego Punk Bands to Music Row

Ryan Poole's love affair with the studio started where most great stories begin — in a garage. A high-school pop-punk band in San Diego sparked a lifelong obsession with recording, and Ryan never looked back. He taught himself Pro Tools, earned his Pro Tools Expert Certification, interned at Studio West, and later graduated with a B.S. in Audio Production.

A move to Nashville in 2012 landed him as a runner at House of Blues Studios, where he quickly immersed himself in the scene — singing backup for Richie Furay, running errands for legends like T. Bone Burnett and Don Henley, and working at the iconic RCA Studio A just after it was saved from demolition.

After building his independent career and splitting time between San Diego and Nashville, Ryan returned full-time in 2018 to take over Waylon Jennings' former music company building. He renamed it The Hideout as a nod to the outlaw spirit: "Outlaws like hideouts, after all."

The Approach

Discover Your Musical DNA

Today, with over 17 million streams on Spotify across his projects and more than a decade of hands-on experience, Ryan brings a signature approach to every session — helping artists discover their unique "Musical DNA" and make records that feel real, warm, and timelessly Nashville.

At The Hideout, Ryan offers artists a full-service creative home that bucks the "Music Machine" and lets you record whatever and however the hell you want. No corporate gatekeeping. No cookie-cutter production. Just honest music made in a space that's been about creative independence since Waylon Jennings walked these halls.

"Every session at The Hideout carries the weight of Nashville history and the warmth of a space built for making music that matters."
